Herd Practice Added to Show #8 at Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds

Due to lower than anticipated entries for horse show #8 we are adding a herd practice on Saturday with 3 sets of 10 works on a first come, first served basis. Get your entries in to Laura. The herd practice will start at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and the down the fence horse show classes will start at 12:00 p.m. and we have 58 down the fence entries so the show should wrap up around 6:00 p.m. Saturday. The boxing classes will start at 8:00 a.m. Sunday and we have 48 entries so the show should wrap up around 1:00 p.m.

2020 CRCHA Election Announcement for 2021-2022 Term on Board of Directors

The California Reined Cow Horse Association (CRCHA) is an affiliate member of the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) and is incorporated under California Corporate Law as a non-profit mutual benefit corporation. The CRCHA bylaws stipulate that a board composed of nine directors, four of which are executive officers, shall be elected annually by a secret ballot vote of the voting members in good standing. Directors must be members in good standing of the CRCHA and NRCHA. SHOW 7/DERBY/SPECTACULAR CANCELLATION

As communicated in an earlier post, the Agri Center notified CRCHA this morning that the state and county required the cancellation of our event this weekend. After much discussion between the CRCHA, the Agri Center, the state and the county as well as exploring other options we are forced to cancel the Derby, Spectacular and Show #7. With that said we would like to thank the Agri Center for doing as much as possible to try and reverse the decision and Laura for processing a record number of entries. Herd practice is CANCELLED – ***PLEASE READ***

***PLEASE READ*** Based on a county and state ruling we were told today that we won’t be able to have the show this weekend. The ag center and Chris are working diligently to get more information to the correct people in hopes of being able to change their decision. Since it’s so late and cattle arrangements need to be confirmed, we need to cancel the herd practice. We should know about the rest of the show by the end of the day and another communication will be posted.
