Join us Monday March 17 through Sunday March 23, 2025 at the historic Paso Robles Event Center for the fifth edition of our Spring Classic Derby, Spectacular and Show #2. In addition to our best in class added money, payouts, entry fees and grounds fees our hosted hospitality events have been expanded to include a wine tasting, BBQ, open bridle bar, exhibitor breakfast and herd help lunch service sponsored respectively by California Mid-State Fair and Ken Wold Training Stables & Stallion Services, Triple Crown Feed, San Luis Obispo County Cattlemen’s Association, Bonnie Marie Catering and the non pro boxing “Lunch Bunch”. Back with a twist! We will be featuring a stray gathering on Friday March 21 at 7:30 pm in the Hearst Pavilion. Click here for general and competition rules. There will be a riders meeting in the Hearst Pavilion preceding the competition. There will be a no host bar service in the spectator area of the Hearst Pavilion during the competition. 100% of the entry fees will go to the payout and will be paid in cash at the judge’s stand immediately following the competition.

Special Added Event! We will be offering a paid rein and cow practice on Monday March 24 starting at 8:00 am. Works will be 10 minutes and will cost $150. Pre-entries only. Enter on sign up sheet in the show office. Entries will close at noon Saturday March 22. Payments may be put on show bills, payments Monday cash only no exceptions. Practice will be cancelled if we get less than 20 entries and will be limited to a maximum of 35 entries. Works will be run in the order received and we must be out of the facility by 4:30 pm.

Our event presenting sponsor will once again be Borjon Auto Center. We cannot thank Mark and Sheila Borjon enough for their incredibly generous support over these 5 years. Without them this event would not have been possible. We will be forever grateful to them for all that their support has done for our association and for the reined cow horse industry in California and beyond. Their support of the Spring Classic has unquestionably been an inflection point in the resurgence of reined cow horse competition in California.
