CRCHA Media Credentials – 2026
Commercial photography and videography at CRCHA events requires approved credentials. Personal-use photos/video are permitted for spectators and exhibitors (no commercial distribution).
How to Apply
- Submit the Online Media Credential Application (one application per event).
- Upload a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming California Reined Cow Horse Association (CRCHA) and the event facility as Additional Insureds.
- Provide a horse list (registered name). Client lists are not accepted in place of a horse list.
- A credit card is required on the application but will not be automatically charged. Payment may be made at the show close-out with the CRCHA Media and Communications Director, Megan Thorne, by credit card, check, or cash.
- Check in at the Show Office upon arrival to receive your media badge.
Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the first day of the event. Late applications may be denied.
Commercial Credential Fees (Per Event)

Tier Upgrades: If your horse count exceeds the tier selected, you must upgrade to the appropriate tier and pay the difference.
Late Horse Additions: Horses added after the application deadline incur a $50 per horse late addition fee and must be submitted through the official CRCHA late-add form.
Insurance Requirement
Applicants must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) evidencing current general liability coverage with limits of not less than $500,000 per occurrence. The COI must name California Reined Cow Horse Association (CRCHA) and the event facility as Additional Insureds. No credentials will be issued without proof of insurance on file.
Important Notes
- Horse list required: Only horses on your approved list may be covered unless added through the late-add process.
- No dedicated WiFi: Media must provide their own internet access (hotspot, etc.).
- Webcast protection: Capturing, recording, or rebroadcasting the official live webcast is prohibited.
- Restricted areas: Arena floor, back gates, warm-up pens, cattle pens, announcer stands, catwalks, and staff-only areas require written approval.
- Class-wide galleries: Commercial galleries of entire classes are prohibited; official photographer and videographer provide class-wide coverage.
Media Policy & Code of Conduct
All media representatives must review and comply with the CRCHA Media Policy and Media Standard of Conduct. Submission of the Media Credential Application constitutes agreement to these policies.
