Based on continued monitoring and evaluation of state and county orders and guidelines, and coordination with our show facility, the board concluded at our Monday, June 1, virtual meeting that we can resume our 2020 show season with show #6 on June 27 with a herd practice on June 26. We are proceeding with the detailed planning and preparations for this and our remaining 2020 events as we continue to monitor the state and county orders and guidelines. We will proceed with our revised 2020 schedule unless trends in the outbreak result in changes to the state or county orders that preclude us from doing so. To resume our events in compliance with the current state and county guidelines we will be instituting several modifications to protect the health and safety of our participants until such time as the outbreak subsides and we can return to normal operations. These modifications will be similar to the adaptations made by other businesses that have reopened in recent weeks. The details on these modifications will be provided with the entry form and an enhanced release form for show #6.
As for our remaining 2020 events: we are still planning a herd practice with show # 6. We are rescheduling the Habib Livestock derby and spectacular and horse show #3 to our July date in conjunction with show #7 and a herd practice and expanding the schedule from 3 to 4 days to better accommodate the derby and manage the length of the show days. We are rescheduling show #4 to our August date in conjunction with the Robertson Ranches / One Fine Vintage show #8 and a herd practice and our 4D Ranch / Gotta Go Get It saddle shoot outs and horse shows #9 and #10 will remain as originally scheduled in November. All events will be at the International Agri-Center in Tulare.
Look for the updated schedule and event details on our website and Facebook page in the coming days. We look forward to seeing our existing members, meeting new members and getting back in the show pen!
